Shopfloor App

Widget configuration is performed through the Shopfloor app.

Step 1

Login to Shopfloor and navigate to the Widget page via the menu in the top left corner.

Step 2

There are 3 parts to the widget configuration.

  1. Promotional items You can create one or more collections of promotional items. These are the items that will be displayed on the first page of the widget and on subsequent pages when displaying your items.

  2. Configs The way the widget behaves and looks can be configured through this section. Examples are enabling full catalogue searches & displaying related items as part of the submission process.

  3. Script generator This tool will help you configure a script that can be pasted into your website.

Step 3

This page displays a list of previously created item collections. You may edit an existing collection or create a new collection.

Step 4

  1. Select items from the left hand side. They will be added to the collection on the right. A max of 12 items can be added.

  2. Provide a name for this collection.

  3. Publish the collection

Step 5

This page displays a list of previously created item configs. You may edit an existing config or create a new config.

Step 6

  1. Create a name for the config

  2. This page has a lengthy form to customise the widget. Each section has notes explaining what the field will do. Most fields are optional so you can override just the values you want to change. Fields that aren't modified will continue to use the default values

Once you are satisfied, click the Publish button down the bottom of the page.

Step 7

  1. Configure the fields as per your requirements.

  2. Click the Copy button or highlight and copy the script tag on the right

Step 8

This part will depend on your setup but in general it should be similar to the following steps. You may need to work with your web developer to facilitate this.

  1. Decide on the page or pages you want to have the widget on.

  2. Make a container for the widget and assign it the id previously used when generating the script tag. If you want the widget to be responsive ensure you set responsive styles on the container.

  3. Paste the script tag in the or of the page.
